RECLAIMING THE AMAZONS
Art Workshop Program
2026, January-May, Berlin, Germany 2026 has arrived and we’re riding into the Year of the Horse, so saddle up and ride with us into our new program 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐎𝐍𝐒! .°˖⋆ 𓃗 .°˖⋆
Throughout the program, we will critically engage with different artworks depicting Amazon warrior women and explore together the intersection of gender, ecology, and colonial history in relation to the Amazons and the Amazon region. Together, we will challenge dominant narratives and co-create alternative representations of the legendary warrior women.
Ecofeminist practitioners and activists from the Amazon region will join us along the journey. We will share thoughts, insights, knowledge, creativity, imagination and food, and together we’ll reimagine and reclaim Amazon narratives.
Between January and May 2026, four workshops will take place at various associations and cultural spaces across Berlin. Each workshop will offer a variety of activities, including collaborative artistic practices, somatic exercises, conversations, guest contributions and (yay!) delicious lunches!
