The Amazons welcome you in the space they have long inhabited in the city: the Altes Museum. Through an ecofeminist and decolonial lens, you will be invited to engage with the ancient warrior women, the legendary tales about them, and their home in Berlin. The project is organized by Chiara Faggionato and Lina Mazenett.

Mònde, the Film Festival dedicated to the theme of walking paths and travels in Monte Sant'Angelo, returns this year from October 3 to 6. The film 'Ardeidae', which will be presented by director Chiara Faggionato, offers a dystopian vision of the Venice lagoon—a place suspended between beauty and decay. This film invites reflection on themes such as cultural memory and the fragility of our environment.

On Saturday, July 22nd, a group of international artists invite you to a public tour through postcolonial interventions in the everyday in Berlin Wedding. The participating artists and researchers have created interventions into the postcolonial technologies that are widespread in common urban spaces.

'AJAW Q'IJ' by Chiara Faggionato and IQ BALAM wins the First Prize for the Best Short Documentary Director at Istanbul International Nartugan Film Festivali (IINFF). Nartugan Birthday of Sun Festival is a festival that welcomes all groups/communities, old and new, that form the sun ritual cultures.

Chiara Faggionato will be one of the participants of the international residency 'Extractivism and its discontents: cultural and artistic counter-movements' by lumbung member Más Arte Más Acción (MAMA) between artists, activists and researchers from cultural sciences and arts. The residency takes place from September 7 to 18, 2022 in Kassel during documenta fifteen.

'AJAW Q'IJ' by Chiara Faggionato and IQ BALAM will be screened as part of the program The Privilege of Dreaming. After the screening, IQ BALAM will hold a talk on how rituals have resisted and continue to survive the presence of Christianity and colonialism. The Privilege of Dreaming is an installation and intersectional learning platform.

The statues of the ancient warrior women ‘Amazone zu Pferde’ in Berlin Mitte invite you on a journey to reflect on the appropriation of womxn’s bodies and the land from an ecofeminist and decolonial perspective. Through somatic exercises, lecture performances and an audio installation, we will actively engage with the statues and the public space. The project is organized by Chiara Faggionato and Lina Mazenett.

'DEVILS OF THE FIELDS' by Chiara Faggionato will be part of the collective exhibition Mythology Inspired, open at Spazio Millepiani from July 5 to 31, 2024. The exhibition aims to acknowledge a specific role for mythology, understood as a source of literary, imaginative, and artistic inspiration. The selected artists exhibit photographic, digital, and video works that, in some way, draw inspiration from the past—from our roots—to speak to the present.

We define video poetry as a hybrid and transdisciplinary genre of contemporary art related to experimental poetry, video art and new technologies.

OKTA Collective presents: Summoning, as a part of Vorspiel transmediale Festival in Berlin. The program features international artists working in film, video, writing, painting and photography, and revolves around witchcraft, ritual, and enchantment. The exhibition is based on the premise of the “witch” as it relates not only to women, but also to queerness, wilderness, and pre-modernist and non-Eurocentric belief systems.

'AJAW Q'IJ' by Chiara Faggionato and IQ BALAM will be screened as part of the Religion Today Film Festival. From 22 to 29 September 2021 the festival will return to the Teatro San Marco and the cinemas of Trento recounting the beauty of the journey and pilgrimage: "Nomads in the Faith". A total of 83 films - selected from over 1400 entries - are taking part, from 36 different countries and divided into five categories.

Three young directors under 35 (Davide Crudetti, Chiara Faggionato, Carlo Tartivita) tell the story of the suburbs, interweaving this narrative with the theme of work. The project will tell through cinema the story of the Ferrovieri district in Vicenza and its historically close relationship with work.

The exhibition curated by LoosenArt and hosted at the Millepiani space is a collection of photographic and video works that constitute an exploratory excursus of abandoned, forgotten and rediscovered places. One of the most representative approaches of the exhibition concerns the phenomenon of Urbex - Urban Exploration - an activity of exploration of abandoned places.

Chiara Faggionato will be one of the artists participating in the exhibition “tell the story or it goes”. The show originates in the idea that there are stories which cannot be postponed, which have an inherent urgency attached to them, a deeply personal urgency that requires that these stories are told.

'AJAW Q'IJ' will be part of Night Skies and Astro Imagining. Since the days of ancient Greece, the contemplation of the night sky has stimulated thoughts on our existence, on our being in the world and on the unknown infinity outside of it. A mysterious space, or according to the ancients a divine kingdom, that reminds us of our origins and our destiny.

'AJAW Q'IJ' by Chiara Faggionato and IQ BALAM will be screened as part of ETNOVIDEOGRÁFICA. The festival is dedicated to the multiple expressions of ethnographic documentary and committed to the great ethical and social diversity of sociocultural contexts throughout the world. The festival can be enjoyed in person at the Ethnographic Museum of Castilla y León (MECYL) from 19th to 27th of November 2022 in its sixth edition.

A group of international artists invite the local people in Marzahn to experience art and participate in cultural events along the Marzahner Promenade. From 25 June to 13 August, a total of 50 events will take place on the Marzahner Promenade, Berlin.

Through the contents of the selected movies, the festival poses questions: What makes a place livable? In what cities we want to live in? What kind of vibrant place for the social and cultural development we wish to create?

'Ardeidae' (C. Faggionato, C. Chiatti, D. Tucci) will be screened on Friday October 16 as part of the program of “Feet in the Water, Eyes on the Land” at Ocean Space, Venice. The program presents a series of documentaries and art films which relate to the fluidity between water and air in the Venetian lagoon and beyond.

The Salon Suisse offers a series of lectures, talks and cultural events supplementing the exhibition at the Swiss Pavilion. The fifth Exploration leads into the midst of the historic centre, where a temporary installation will offer the opportunity to screen the movie 'Ardeidae' (C. Faggionato, C. Chiatti, D. Tucci).
