Re-Routing welcomes the collective Amazonen in Berlin, formed by Chiara Faggionato and Lina Mazenett, to Co-Making Matters at Haus der Statistik as the next walking resident. During their residency, the collective will continue their research on the public art walk 'Amazonen in Berlin', visiting the statues of the ancient warrior women 'Amazone zu Pferde' in Berlin Mitte and reflecting on the appropriation of women's bodies and the land from an ecofeminist and decolonial perspective.
Walking Residencies is an initiative by ReRouting, organised by curator Clementine Butler-Gallie, exploring walking as a studio practice and research methodology. In collaboration with Co-Making Matters at Haus der Statistik, Berlin, artists are offered a space for rest and reflection while walking the local streets.
